During the financial crisis of 2008, economic growth dropped, but nowhere nearly as bad as during the Great Depression. of 1926. Rough times with businesses, especially local mom and pops stores. Major stores like, Circuit City, also closed their doors and I was sadden about that because I shopped there often because of their prices and customer services.
We wanted to express this in an editorial spin to it so we came up with this idea.
The location was scouted by Stephanie while driving our daughter to their Girl Scout field trip.
She was shocked that there was no sign saying, “no trespassing,” and fence around the property. The next step was to find our models. We wanted to have them in their late teens to express that our next generation will face a harder circumstance of finding a stable career and price increase of cost of goods. Evan and Leann was a great fit for this project. Juliet, our mua and hair for that day, did an amazing job and helped us out threw out the shoot.
We styled the shoot with what the models had to provide with our mood board which we’ve sent them prior to the shoot. We also had a couple of shoes from Radii Wear, from our last shoot that we wanted to use since we still had them in our studio. To top our day off was shooting an ice cream truck, and having a small ice cream snack break. All in all it was a fun shoot and enjoy our images.
